Project Rhino Charleston was founded by two local South Africans who have a deep affection for their homeland and empathy for the endangered rhinoceros and game rangers who protect them. One night last year around a campfire, the subject of rhino poaching was brought up. Having grown up with the privilege of seeing wild rhino in South Africa, where 80% of the rhino population exists, the group agreed that it is definitely one that should be extended to future generations. Since then, the group has found numerous rhino lovers and conservationists from all over the world willing to help this magnificent species survive.
In just two years, we have raised $25,000 to support anti-poaching efforts in South Africa! Learn more about our work.
